OpenLink is looking for individuals to work with their customers, consultants, and software engineers to conceptualize, analyze and design enhancements to the Endur software system. This role's primary focus will be on meeting the needs of the North American and European commodity and energy markets.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assess the energy and commodities marketplace to identify functional gaps within the application.
Convert user requirements and functional gaps into detailed software functional specifications.
Assist in coordinating and prioritizing development requests.
Consult with clients to demonstrate how the system functionality can satisfy their business requirements
Document and create test plans for major enhancements to the software
Provide internal training classes on new functionalit
Provide assistance to the Sales team (presentations, demos, etc)
Required Skills:
2 years experience within the commodity or energy sector (middle or front office), or risk management IT development environment with strong business knowledge in one of the following markets: NG, Crude, Refined Product, Power, Coal. Knowledge in more than one market, a definitive plus.
Strong math or quantitative background
Experience in designing a trading/risk management software package, a plus
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills
BS in business, finance, economics, engineering, math or computers
Advanced degree in a secondary or same field, a plus
Proficient in MS Office and understanding of relational databases
Some knowledge of C/C++/VB & exposure to Oracle/Sybase or SQL, a plus
