RESPONSIBILITIES • Utilize object oriented languages to Develop interfaces (C++) and reconciliation tools (Java) that integrate the Fixed Income front office trading platforms (DSTS) with External ECNs. • Utilize VB skills in support of custom Money Market trading platform. • Utilize scripting languages (Perl, ksh, csh, bat) in support of the Front Office trading platforms and custom pricing platform. • Provide 1st and 2nd Level support for the Fixed Income and Money Market Trading Floor. • Participate in the installation, maintenance and testing of Front Office software releases, patches, upgrades etc. • Coordinate with internal DBA’s and SA’s on the installation and configuration of development, test, QA and production environments. • Participate in the setup and testing of scheduled jobs through Autosys • Work closely with business and other teams to resolve production Issues
TECHNICAL SKILLS Required/Must have: • C++ Development experience • UNIX, NT, SQL, Scripting Languages, structured OO programming language • Sybase DBMS experience • Middleware oriented messaging systems (Tibco RV) • Experience/knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML, FTP, HTTP
Desired/Plus: • Java, JDBC, Java Web Start, JDK 1.4 • Experience utilizing a trading system vendor-based Object Oriented Toolkit/API and Data Model (ie Calypso, Summit, Infinity)
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE Required/Must have: • Fixed income instruments: example: ABS, bonds, MBS, repos, etc…

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE Required/Must have: • 5 – 8 / 7-10 years of TOTAL work experience. • 4 – 6 years C++ experience • 3 – 5 years experience working in the banking/brokerage industry • Experience supporting a fixed income front office trading system
Desired/Plus: • Java or Java training • Java experience integrating a Front Office Fixed income software package with ECNs
EDUCATION Required/Must have: • Bachelors degree.
