As an Equity Research Analyst, you will be responsible for providing fundamentals-based equity research and trading recommendations for equities of securities exchange holding companies and trade execution services companies. You will identify internal investment opportunities resulting from market inefficiencies in the sectors' equities. Investment ideas must be supported by primary research focused on the financial and operating metrics, products and services of the companies within these sectors, including channel checks and competitive analysis. Stock recommendations must be supported by detailed financial projections and securities valuation models. In this role, you will be challenged to maintain an extensive information network consisting of company managements, customers, other industry specialists, and sell-side research analysts covering the sector.
Essential Functions Provide fundamentals-based equity research and trading recommendations for equities of securities exchange holding companies and trade execution services companies
Identify internal investment opportunities resulting from market inefficiencies in the sectors' equities
Maintain extensive information network consisting of company managements, customers, other industry specialists, and sell-side research analysts covering the sector
Provide due-diligence support to private equity business, as necessary
Required/Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree required; engineering, science or math degrees preferred
Minimum of two (2) years experience in equity research covering securities exchanges/markets and trade execution services companies
Strong finance and accounting skills as well as securities valuation, financial statement modeling and forecasting experience
Excellent research, communication and organizational skills. Independent thinker; self-starter; strong work ethic
Series 7 license and/or CFA preferred
