The Role is mix of 2nd level application support, infrastructure support and assurance of compliance to change mgmt. and security policies.
The key responsibilities include:
Operate Service Management Develop strong partnership with build, infrastructure, & other technology teams Provide 2nd level support to applications. Is first to react to monitor event. Assures problem calls are tracked, routed properly, and closed. Resolution of events and incidents escalated from Client Service Delivery Analysts and Client Service Delivery Managers
Monitoring, Release Management, & Testing Work with build teams on monitoring and release scripting Work closely with build and other technology teams to ensure quality of monitoring Participate in evaluation of new application, monitoring, and testing tools. Provide application performance and failure metrics reporting Should be capable of assisting in development of test plans and execution of tests
Policies and Controls Assure compliance to change management and security policies Control both access to production and deployments
Communication – Interpersonal & Business, Oral & Written Satisfaction against Service Levels Agreements. Responsible for infrastructure documentation and 2nd level support procedure documentation Work to gather infrastructure requirements and assure infrastructure is prepared for deployments. This requires close teamwork with build & other technology teams.
Essential Requirements: Investment Bank experience Murex experience Tivoli Monitoring ETL experience (Informatica, PolarLake) Team Lead Experience of 2-4 years UNIX administration and performance tuning (Solaris preferred): 2-4 years DBA - Sybase (preferred), MS-SQL, or Oracle: 2-4 years Understanding of Web-based, Java, or eCommerce applications Systems support experience: 3+ years Perl/Unix Shell Scripts – to handle complex automation/administration: 3+ years experience Network – TCP/ FTP: general understanding
