Our client is seeking a candidate with strong financial and analytical skills to fill the position of Associate. The candidate will interface directly with the company’s managing partners, brokers, and outside consultants. This is an incredible opportunity for a candidate with experience and passion for the real estate industry to join a thriving, diverse, fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial investment firm and receive hands on experience in the acquisition process as well as management of the project post-acquisition.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and maintain complex financial models, project pro-forma, detailed analysis of potential acquisitions, net operating income, and cash flow projections from a property or portfolio of properties
• Play an integral role in the due diligence process, including, market research, comparable property analysis, lease contract and statements of operations review
• Analyze project risks and underwrite prospective deals, using various capital sources
• Work with lenders and outside consultants, including architects, engineers, and contractors
• Assist the management of income producing assets
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have 2-4 years experience in real estate development, commercial real estate finance, or related field
• Pre-MBA
• Distinctive financial and analytical skills
• Very comfortable creating, modifying, and reviewing financial spreadsheets (ARGUS a plus)
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in a professional and highly demanding environment
• Self motivated, personable and team player with experience in a fast paced environment
• Commitment to values and strong business ethics are required
