Our Client: Our client is one of the biggest banks in the UK based on market capitalization. London is the head office. Over the last 3 to 4 years the bank has doubled in size, especially wholesale banking which is growing at approximately 30% per annum. The head office of both wholesale and consumer banking is based in Singapore. They are now looking for a Senior Manager reporting directly to the Head of Financial Markets Audit, a qualified accountant with banking experience and to be based in Singapore or London.Capital markets experience, preferably with an investment bank, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and manage audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls in operation in the banking business

* Contribute to the development of the internal audit methodology and working practices

* Contribute to an increased awareness in the business of the management of risk and the importance of business controls.

Requirements:

* An accounting or Internal Audit qualification.

* The applicant should have significant understanding of recent developments in internal auditing and corporate governance, particularly as they relate to the banking sector.

* The individual should preferably have a background in Asset/Liability Management and Regional Markets (Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and new Asian emerging markets) and/or internal/external audit experience in this field.

* The individual should preferably have a background in a broad range of Financial Markets trading products (e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Derivatives) and/or internal/external audit experience in this field. * Teamwork: be an effective team player who is able to work both in a multi-cultural team environment as well as independently.

* Management Skills: to manage a team effectively.

* Travel:this is a global role - audit aligns itself globally to the business. Around 40% travel is expected and this can be anywhere across the franchise, although the main focus is the financial markets in Asia and London.

Remuneration and Career Progression: For the right individual, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to progress.

Base can range from £80,000 - £100,000 (SGD215,670-269,600)depending on experience and abilities plus a performance-related bonus.
