Develop and drive Genworth strategy and vision in the German market Responsible for the German business Operating Plans Take overall budgetary responsibility to ensure that the German business meets all financial and operational performance targets Successfully develop and deliver a country strategy which will deliver sustainable growth through new products, distribution channels, creative pricing and promotional activities Represent and promote the interests of the German business internally and externally Leadership responsibility for the German team (currently 40 permanent employees), including input with regard to goal setting, coaching, personal development, appraisals, salary planning and performance management Manage client relationship and ensure client satisfaction according to standards of service agreed Identify market trends for the German protection insurance industy Identify new distribution channels and prospective new business / clients Maintain good relations with local regulators and trade bodies by ensuring regulatory compliance

Experience & Education

Proven and relevant experience in the Financial Services Industry preferably within the Banking and/or Insurance sectors Previous experience of managing teams of professional staff is essential Excellent negotiation and communication skills University degree / MBA Fluent in German and a good command of English Strong planning and analytical skills Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and reach ambitious targets, whilst being able to execute Business development skills advantageous
