Reporting to a Director of Implementation within Global Professional Services, you will be involved in the implementation of Algorithmics products at various customer sites.

To implement the Algorithmics solutions within customer environments by performing activities such as OpVar software installation and configuration, writing custom scripts/code, data interfacing and consulting with clients.
To extract, manipulate and clean data from customer source systems in various formats to load into databases.
To effectively troubleshoot errors, performance issues, and license problems encountered by customers during implementation.
To maintain and manage the sales demonstration and user acceptance test environments.
To maximize the available opportunities through attending relevant training and development courses and to pursue self-study to broaden Risk Management system knowledge.
To interact with clients by email and/or phone and provide technical support on client sites.

Competencies and Skills
Experience on Unix (Sun Solaris and AIX preferred) or Linux systems, Wintel server experience also an asset;
Strong Database expertise with Oracle
Excellent knowledge of Web Applications and Application Server Software such as Websphere, Weblogic and TomCat.
Experience with data manipulation, transformation and cleansing using PERL, Shell script languages.
Experience with XML and Web Services
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and Java a distinct benefit.
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Algorithmics clients face complex challenges that require clear distillation, professional design, and timely implementation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to convey complex ideas to a variety of functional and technical audiences.
Ability to multitask and take initiative.
Experience with financial applications and trading systems a definite asset.
Education:
University degree: Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience . Work Experience:
Related experience acquired in a computing services or Professional Services industry role.
