The Role Working closely with the Senior Product Strategist and Managing Directors across the Moody's structured finance rating groups, the Associate Product Strategist will help manage a fast growing business line at Moody's; design new products that will provide alternative sources of revenue growth; create and pitch business plans for new products to senior management; and manage the products through their respective life cycles. Responsibilities: New Product Development -Implement market research to identify new product opportunities. -Develop ideas and business plans for new products to serve the CDO market, and pitch the strategy and financial impact to senior management. -Manage product development teams consisting of technology and product management resources from specification and development of the new product to roll out and maintenance. Business Line Management -Develop strategies to grow revenue of existing offerings of CDO research and analytic models. -Take active role in recommending and justifying corporate acquisitions. -Take responsibility for all aspects of product offerings including features, price and positioning. -Monitor competitive developments and develop strategic responses. -Source market feedback on Moody's products and services. Recommend, design and implement product enhancements. -Develop yearly sales forecasts and business plans and track performance throughout the year. -Educate sales force about products at team meetings and product roadshows. -Assist in development of external distribution channels and 3rd party licensing agreements. Market Outreach/Coordination - Represent Moody's at client meetings, company-sponsored events and third-party conferences. - Develop materials for and lead product related roadshows. - Coordinate and monitor client outreach activities globally. Qualifications: -MBA or equivalent graduate degree with relevant experience preferred OR bachelor's degree with minimum 7-10 years relevant work experience. -Strategic thinking & a basic understanding of global capital/credit markets, especially the CDO market - Strong verbal and written skills, as well as high level of confidence interacting with senior business professionals -Flexibility & prioritization skills (handle varied and ad hoc requests from multiple parties) -Strong quantitative and analytic skills (including intermediate knowledge of Excel and Access and relational database queries) -Ability to work both independently and in a team environment -Consulting or investment banking experience desirable as candidates tend to be strategically oriented or have advanced modeling skills and knowledge of the financial services market -Experience in marketing, strategic planning or product development also favorably considered Benefits: Moody's offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage with 401k plan (up to 121% match), 15% discount on Moody's stock purchase, Pension Plan, Tuition Reimbursement and Employee discounts to various educational, cultural, arts/entertainment and world class sporting events Company Profile: Please submit your resume to the email below for consideration.
