Job Description Overview Calypso Technology is seeking a Project Manager with at least 5 years experience managing software related projects/initiatives. This should include support and/or implementation of Front and/or Middle Office and/or Back Office Technology applications.
Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for managing the implementation of the Calypso Software Solution. This will include the responsibility of project tracking to meet deliverables and the system go-live date and the subsequent support of the application.
Management of the Calypso project team.
Work in partnership with the Bank’s Project Management team.
Discuss and validate critical Client requests with Calypso and Clients
Monitor & validate detailed business specifications and concepts for sign off.
Co-ordination of deliveries between the product center and the client
Monitor & validate product support call Bugs, Enhancement, Advice (verify content, description of test cases, Business Specifications, Timings expected etc…)
Monitor progress of project to be in sync with Calypso Road Map and Bug fix delivery
Participate in client project status meetings
First level of escalation for project deliveries
Report to the Project Steering Committee.
Provide early warning of potential scope creep.
Progress reporting within Calypso.
Expectation management.
Skills & Requirements:
5+ years Project Management Experience
Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, solid user facing capabilities and the ability to think, write and present in a logical and structured way. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with our clients.
Experience writing functional and business specifications with the ability to map conceptual financial and business elements to practical system capabilities.
Willingness and ability to travel periodically, as required.
Strong interpersonal skills. The candidate will be communicating with senior levels of management both internally and externally.
Strong organizational and presentation skills. Candidate must be able to create and manage a complex project plan in an efficient and timely manner.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment with an emphasis on delivering solutions to meet our aggressive deadlines.
Must be client driven, have the ability to work within a team environment, and be focused on providing a high quality of service to the client
Software knowledge with the ability to read code in Java/C++ is a plus
