• Participate in the formulation and implementation of annual business plans to deliver income targets for the client portfolio.
• Implement specific local competitive and aggressive sales/income campaigns and initiatives geared to achieving rapid but sustainable growth in interest and non-interest income and increased market penetration, and associated targets.
• Personally develop and manage a portfolio of key clients, developing financing packages and bids for member companies within guidelines to achieve target income levels.
• Proactively identify new business and referral opportunities and create additional income across divisions of the bank.
• Continuously assess the quality of service provided to clients, ensuring service provision is of the highest quality, develop measures and processes to assess service levels and to identify potential improvements.
• Assess the quality of lending proposals, analysing financial information and establish a sound and robust basis for agreeing local lending proposals in line with risk Management guidelines.
• Personally sanction lending within own personal lending authorities including gathering and analysing financial information and using this information to make lending decisions.
• Prepare and submit for approval lending proposals outside own authorities with full justification for recommendations, including obtaining and analysing industry and business information.
• Ensure full compliance at all times, including MAS and regulatory compliance, with credit processes, policies and procedures and achieve the correct balance between growth in income and the effective management of risk, including portfolio asset quality.
• Ensure that a significant proportion of time is spent on relationship management and member calls.
• Actively establish, develop and utilise networks of internal and external contacts to aid achievement of income targets.
• Liaise with other partners to ensure that knowledge transfer/leverage of experience is achieved geared to improving the overall achievement of the local team.
• Support / coach and mentor associates to ensure that associate develop and assist with the delivery of the required level of customer service. Be aware of workloads and volumes and provide guidance and support as and when required.
