Description: The Structured Finance Sales Specialist will be member of a team of sales people dedicated to selling Moody's structured research, data and analytic tools. They provide: 1. A focused, selling effort, and substantial sales production, in support of Moody's structured finance ratings and research franchise; and 2. An influential face-to-face calling effort to enhance relationships with the Structured Finance buy-side and stay abreast of market and competitive issues. The Structured Finance Sales Specialist will work in conjunction with Moody's Analytics team of relationship mangers and sales people. He/she will call on all financial and investment professionals involved in the Structured Finance markets across North America. The Structured Finance Sales Specialist Team is responsible for growing the total revenue associated with Structured Finance products across all accounts. He/she will work closely with account managers and new business officers to introduce and sell new products to Moody's clients. The Structured Finance Sales Specialist will call systematically on investors, capital markets professionals, investment bankers, and others identified as prospects of Moody's research products and risk models spanning the following asset classes: asset-backed securities, commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities, collateralized debt obligations, and other securitized instruments. He/she will aim to reinforce existing relationships, identify opportunities for product development, and establish new relationships. Finally, the Structured Finance Sales Specialist serves as an important leader in the development of the Structured Finance Group's product and marketing strategy. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have years of demonstrated success selling to large financial institutions and institutional investors. He/she must be familiar with the securities markets, securitization and structured finance, credit and risk management, as well as fixed income portfolio management. Experience related to RMBS or CDO's is a plus. A bachelor's degree is required. MBA preferred. The candidate should be results-oriented and a team player. Other: 25-50% travel will be required.
