This person and team will be representing Ipreo’s software products and solutions to clients within the research and investment banking community as well as vendors to financial services companies. This position will report directly to the President, COO of the company. Our ideal candidate will have 8+ years prior experience in software sales, capital markets, financial services e-commerce, or sales and trading as well as have lead and managed a competitive sales force. This person will have a proven track record of building strategic relationships with clients, helping to identify their needs, providing sound solutions and managing the entire sale cycle of big-ticket sales opportunities.
In addition to management, this person must be hands on, a team player, a highly motivated individual, someone who takes initiative and who thinks creatively. They must have excellent customer service skills with superior listening and negotiating skills. This person should feel comfortable working with minimum supervision yet be able to work effectively within a team environment and connect with others at all levels. Ideally, this person is someone who is a leader, passionate for the business, a strong presenter and a trusted representative of the company, its products and services. Some of the day-to day responsibilities include but not limited to: · Manage and motivate an experience sales force handling opportunities throughout the country. · Provide consistent guidance and mentoring to the sales force in accessing and selling to prospective businesses and organizations in order to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded. · Institute structure and guidance to the team as it relates to best sales practices and improve internal processes and procedures. · Work with Executive Team in developing a strategic sales and marketing plan to generate new business and help identify market opportunity for the organization. · Continue to build strategic client relationships for the organization and pursue additional up sell opportunities with existing clients. · Collaborate with senior management to ensure the client experience is consistent to Ipreo’s core business values. · Provide regular feedback to product teams to help shape the products and services.
