Job Description
You will be Vice Regional Manager in the CPG Business Advisory department. This is an internationally diverse department and the Regional Manager supports Wholesale growth (new origination process) considering the current client performance, market benchmarks, and acts on opportunities and constraints implied by risk management and active credit portfolio management. The allocation of regional responsibility and activity depends on the need of each of the various regions (SWE, NL, UK, CEE, Americas and/or Asia) and is determined by the Head of CPG Business Advisory. Ultimately, you will contribute to market-based pricing awareness, improve the value of Wholesale commercial transactions and improve the efficiency of risk transfer transactions (execution coordinated by CPG). You will contribute to the ING change management process CPG continuously contribute to. You will report to the Regional Manager of CPG Business Advisory (Brussels).
Responsibilities
You will have to: • Understand the (regional) commercial dynamics of Wholesale new business origination; • Understand relationship considerations/restrictions, and support an efficient communication between CPG and Wholesale to - maximise usage in front-office of CPG monitoring/management tools in terms of credit and market view, - include credit market dynamics in the front-office origination process, - assist to gradually develop a systematic benchmarking of clients and transactions to market-equivalent prices, - advise on solutions to transfer risk to allow business to exceed limits or to mitigate risk in case of negative risk migration. As member in the Green-light processes and defined BU meetings our view is given considering above mentioned and you will support the RM in this process and be replacing member when appropriate. • Co-operate with the same functions in Amsterdam, Brussels and New York to maintain and develop where needed a formal process that monitors, advises and coordinates execution of risk transfer solutions when new transactions are being structured. • Co-operate with other functions within CPG to maximise effectiveness of CPG skills for market based benchmarking and support to business growth. • Act as replacement in case of absence of Regional Manager. • Support and carry responsibility for certain projects within the department.

In Risk Management, the mandate of the Credit Portfolio Group is to deliver market perspective, propose portfolio strategy, and implement tools, processes and risk transfer solutions. This allows for reducing risk, improving portfolio value, and supporting business growth while remaining within ING appetite for credit risk.

Desired Skills/Experience
• Bachelor or equivalent by experience • At least 4 years experience in international Wholesale Banking environment either commercial or risk : Transactional understanding of Wholesale Lending products and international financial markets dynamics • Experience with Bloomberg is an advantage • Fluent in English
