Investment Banking Operations: IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized and that the client experience is a pleasant one. Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively. It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.
Job Description: · Oversees team of 2 – 3 individuals who support cash and margin service and support functions for institutional client accounts, including SEF, Monetization Services, SPG, High Net Worth clients, IRA accounts, Latin American custody accounts, various affiliate accounts and other client Margin and Cash accounts. · Ensures compliance with cash and margin account requirements of Reg T and 15C3 (m) for unpaid purchases and sales as well as NYSE Rule 412 for ACAT processing. · Completes daily supervisory checklist and ensure the completion of the daily work by all on site staff. · Conducts daily account surveillance activity, and acts on account exception conditions with front office staff; routinely liaises with other operating areas, including control, settlements, corporate actions to address issues. · Approves and processes approximately 1,000 – 1,200 wire payments per month, valued at over $1b. · Approves several regulatory reports, including margin deficit reports, FINRA R-1 filing, extensions for non-COD cash/margin accounts.
Skills Required: · 3 -6 years experience preferred in financial services client account margin servicing supervisory role. · Strong supervisory and leadership skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage and motivate a small team. · Financial services background or Finance degree. · Good IT skills, such as Windows XP and Microsoft Word and Excel · Motivated and Positive · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Thoroughness and attention to detail · Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment · Taking ownership for tasks and following through to completion · Excellent organizational skills · Ability to work under tight deadlines · Accountability, responsibility, solution and delivery focused · Ability to interact successfully and build strong working relationships with various internal and external groups on a daily basis (Middle Office, Legal, Credit)
