Alternative Investments Financial Reporting Director, Vice President Provides leadership and strategic direction. Responsible for assessing and monitoring operational risk ensuring client service. Effectively manages operational costs. Manages department budget. Recommends and implements process improvements, striving for superior client service and cost reduction. Responsible for day to day operations by managing the workflow. Responsible for hiring of personnel. Responsible for performance management and handling employee relations issues. Recommends solutions for client problems. Responsible for implementation of new processes and procedures (via interdepartmental meetings). May have 3-5 Reporting Unit Managers as direct reports. May have 15-20 indirect reports.

1. Directs the management of operational areas and client relationships.

2. Assesses staffing needs. Works closely with human resources to develop recruiting and retention strategies.

3. Formulates, recommends and implements department goals, policies and budget.

4. Fosters successful interaction with clients, auditors, vendors and internal areas of the bank.

5. Make recommendations for improvements to client service, operational efficiency and cost reductions.

6. Resolves exceptional problems.

7. Overseas conversion of new clients.

8. Develops and achieves targets concerning conversion of new business.

9. Develops effective marketing strategies for new sales presentations, proposals, vendors and contract negotiations.

10. Supports new business development through presentations and demonstrations.

11. Gather and analyzes competitive product offering and systems capabilities.

12. Remains informed of regulatory changes and new industry and competitor developments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

BS/ BA required. MBA desirable. 8+ years experience, financial services preferred. 5+ years supervisory experience required. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communications skills necessary.
