Top Tier Alternative Asset Management firm seeks experienced HR professional with a background managing and creating complex compensation structures

The Compensation and Benefits Manager function in the Human Resources department will be a strategic role in a firm that is known to place great emphasis on compensation as it relates to overall firm strategy. There will be a heavy emphasis on the analytics of compensation and benefits in the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Serves as lead HR representative on compensation and benefits related matters.
Lead and execute all elements of the annual compensation cycle.
Develop and maintain various reports for executive management, investor relations and other groups in the firm.
Manage all research and analysis on elements of compensation including base, bonus, deferred comp and other types of equity and non-cash compensation for the internal client groups you cover.
Work on various elements of health & welfare, including annual enrollments, enrolling new hires into benefits and terminating benefits for COBRA administration; resolve minor benefit enrollment issues; and assist with deferred compensation administration.
Administer and enforce company policies across the firm.
Payroll processing is done by the accounting group, but there will be some level of oversight. Familiarity with ADP is beneficial.
Act as a general member of the HR team on other related activities including such things as employee relations, policy development, etc.
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of experience dealing with financial analysis as it relates to HR, including compensation analysis, payroll and benefits administration.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a highly ranked school.
Technical and management experience in compensation and benefits’ administration required. Must have a strong working knowledge of federal, multi-state withholdings, state unemployment, and localities.
Ability to use data and apply critical/strategic thinking to solve problems and craft executive summaries. High level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
Must be mature, thoughtful and articulate and have the confidence to interact one-on-one with senior management.
