Reporting to the Infrastructure Data Ctr. Voice & Network Manager, the successful candidate will play a lead role in navigating some of the toughest guidelines for data retention and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Storage backup design, configuration, maintenance, upgrade and day-to-day issues related to Storage backup
Documentation of processes and procedures
Cover all reporting, backups, restore, VTL (EMC Disk Library), Veritas and media related matters
Fill-in for the Unix team for Unix related tasks
Independently analyze & interpret data retention & recovery guidelines and make recommendations to management
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or equivalent 4 year degree in field related to position. (ie: Computer Science)
2 - 5 years work experience as a Netbackup/SAN storage Engineer in /Netbackup/EMC/Legato
Experience working within the financial industry, with exposure to technology, business, and third party banking/technology vendors.
Relevant experience in Application / System support a must.
Previous trading environment support experience
Must possess solid and updated technical skills
Must be able to stay calm under pressure, multi-task and be flexible
Must be able to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
