Our client is an international fast growing financial company part of a large American group.
The European Headquarter is based in Luxembourg since 2006 and they are looking for an Accounting Manager to support the development of the transactions.
THE ROLE
The role would involve a lot of financial coordination with the company foreign entities, as well as local third parties, the follow-up of the Risk management and a good knowledge of Compliance regulation.
The position will report to the Financial Manager and implicate the following responsibilities.
Gain a solid understanding of the corporate policy and customer business transactions, accounting flows and finance processes/controls and regulatory requirements.
Gain a full understanding of the company’s responsibilities and provide necessary support to ensure adherence at all times with these obligations.
Assist with the preparation of all periodic financial, prudential, statistical and fiscal reporting requirements and that all external deadlines are met.
Assist with the monitoring of the company’s risk exposure.
Ensure the proper books and records are maintained for the entity.
Coordination of the month-end closing process with European Accounting Team, Shared Services teams, Financial Planning groups and other relevant teams or external services providers to ensure entity ledger is accurate, variance are correctly explained and that internal close deadlines are met.
Receivable and payable accounts monitoring including balances reconciliation and substantiation.
Management of procurement to payment process.
Work on local projects related to process formalization, automation, expansion and improvement.
Participate in Finance related projects and processes as necessary .
THE PROFILE
A relevant finance or accounting Education.
A minimum of 5 years professional experience (An external audit background and/or a relevant experience in the banking sector would be appreciate).
A relevant experience with CSSF reporting is compulsory.
Extensive experience in working with MS Office, particulary in Excel and Access.
Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Fluency in English and French. German is a plus.
Effective coordination and communication skills.
Team player attitude.
Desire to implement formalized processes and controls.
