A Respected Investment Management firm based in Boston is looking for a Client Oversight Supervisor.
If you would like to move out of a tradition back office Fund Accounting Supervisor role. This is an opportunity to work for an Asset Manager in a client oversight role. Our client has outsourced their Fund Accounting function to a third party firm. In this role, you will work in an oversight capacity to ensure the third party vendor delivers timely and accurate completion of all daily/weekly/monthly work for the Fund Accounting function. Responsibilities; Set up and attend regular status meetings with the vendor to review quality levels and to stay current operational priorities. Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures. . Ensure the integrity and timeliness of reporting along with the proper support of their administrative responsibilities. Escalate department or client issues to upper management. Provide the proper forum(s) to communicate the appropriate department related requests and operational oversight issues. Work with the vendor organization to ensure adequate completion of all audits with no significant issues for fiscal year end audits, SAS 70 audits, SEC audits. Work with the vendor organization to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to Fund Admin, Financial Reporting and Tax for completion of all relevant tasks (audits, board books, excise tax). KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :Critical Knowledge Areas: •Advanced mutual fund concepts •Management of vendor relationships • Client service skills •Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment •Attention to detail and commitment to quality •Organizational skills •Good communication skills Experience: Minimum of five years experience in a mutual fund environment, preferably in fund accounting. Education:BA/BS with accounting courses preferred.
