Major International Bank located in New York City is currently seeking 2 dynamic individuals to work within their Auditing/Accounting department. The ideal candidates should have an accounting/finance degree with 7+ years for one spot and 5-8 years for the other. 

Duties/Responsabilites consist of the following:

Audits are performed of front, middle and back office departments for different business lines/units, together with the supporting operations (P&S, cashiering, new accounts, dividend and interest, wire transfers, etc.), risk management, accounting, finance, legal and regulatory compliance functions.

The candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to assist in conducting the audits with focus on:

• Preparing clear and concise planning document, audit programs, workpapers, audit findings and audit report
• Analyzing business processes and procedures
• Evaluating the internal controls of the business and the risks associate to those internal controls
• Communicating audit findings to the business management
• Tracking and following up on open audit and regulatory issues with the clients
• Working on special projects

Director of Accounting-Banking 180k-250K

Major International Bank located in New York City is currently seeking a dynamic individual to head their Accounting and Financial Reporting Areas. The ideal candidate should have an accounting degree and 8+ years Public/Private Banking experience at a management level.

Duties consist of the following:

• Responsible for accounting and financial reporting at the New York location in accordance with U.S. GAAP and International Accounting Standards.
• Ensure that there is a system of internal controls to reliably record, process, summarize and report financial data generated by business activity.
• Support corporate development including accounting for new financial products, acquisition and divestment of business entities, migration to new software systems and introduction of new accounting standards. (IAS).
• Keeping abreast of accounting and regulatory development in the U.S.A. and Internationally to ensure that local practices are current and documented in policies and procedures.
• Liaison with local management, Head Office, external auditors and bank examiners on all accounting matters.

Product/Business Controllers 90k-125k

Top Broker dealer and Investment bank is looking for multiple Product Controllers to report revenues for business units and maintain infrastructure that ensures the financial integrity of the firm’s financial records and returns.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare the daily profit and loss statement by strategy for Fixed Income and or Equity Derivatives

• Produce and journal daily cost to carry allocation for the US Transit and CMA entities.

• Attest balance sheet accounts to sub ledger inventory applications

• Develop and support systems to compute and report the daily P/L estimate
