With over $550 billion in assets under management, Wellington Management Company, llp manages US, international and global equity, fixed income and multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients and mutual fund sponsors in 41 countries.
Approximately two-thirds of these assets are invested in equity portfolios. These portfolios include multiple styles (growth, core and value) and the full capitalization spectrum (large, medium and small), as well as concentrated, multi regional and single country portfolios.
The firm's portfolios are supported by Global Research Services. Within Global Research are Asset Allocation, Technical Analysis, Quant, Macroanalysis and Global Research. Many of these professionals are career analysts and represent one of the industry's most well-respected teams of analysts.
Global Perspectives is a new product which focuses on small to mid cap global companies with market caps typically below $20 billion at the time of initial purchase. The product is unconstrained and based on the belief that there are a lot of inefficiencies in the global markets. The investment process focuses on solid bottom up fundamental analysis. The Portfolio's sector and country weights are a by-product of the bottom up stock selection process and are not constrained; this includes emerging markets. Although the objective of the portfolio is to provide long term total return in excess of the MSCI AC World Index, the portfolio may hold significant positions in, or a significant portion of portfolio assets may be invested in, securities that are not included in the Index. The portfolio will contain approximately 60 stocks.
The portfolio team has members from Wellington's Macro group, Quantitative Investments and Global Industry Research. The equity research analyst will be part of this team and focused exclusively on the fundamental analysis of stocks for inclusion in this portfolio.
