Overall Objective and Purpose Confirmations and Customer Service The nature of this support requires strong multi-faceted individuals who are able to understand the lifecycles of the products traded and the systems and reporting mechanisms required enabling full control, accurate and appropriate information to be supplied. The individual will be required to establish close working relationships, at all levels, with both Front Office and Support Staff (e.g. Credit, Finance, Market Risk, Legal and IT).
This individual should possess the following characteristics: ? Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy in all duties ? Highly organized and adept at time management ? Ability to excel in a stressful environment ? Ability to properly prioritize and manage several competing initiatives while meeting firm deadlines ? Strong team player willing to assist peers in achieving team goals ? Knowledge of Credit Derivatives (preferred) ?
Specific Responsibilities Detailed specific responsibilities include: ? T+1 upload of all eligible Credit Derivative trades to DTCC (Depository Trust Clearing Corporation) for electronic match processing. Eligible trades include: - Credit Default Swaps (Single Names and Indices) ? Investigate and resolve all discrepancies resulting from the match process with counterparties. ? Maintain aging and issues around unresolved matches.
Control Function: ? Ensure that all trades eligible for matching via DTCC are transmitted by T+1, and exceptions are resolved timely with clients.
Projects and improvements ? Participate in industry based working groups for the purpose of developing new and enhanced electronic match functionality.
