As the result of an internal move, an opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced credit analyst to join the Financial Institutions (FI) group within the Institutional Banking business of this leading Australian bank. The FI sectors covered include banks, fund managers, insurance companies, building societies and credit unions.

Responsible for the Insurance portfolio, you will work closely with relationship mangers to initiate and structure a wide range of banking transactions. There is excellent scope to be involved in more complex and heavy-weight financial transactions and the opportunity for significant client contact. This role offers a unique blend between financial analysis and entrepreneurial application.

Responsibilities include identifying strategic opportunities, providing high quality research and evaluating potential funding ideas for existing and target clients. You will write credit submissions, carry out detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting, and negotiate submissions through credit.

This position would suit candidates with a minimum of 5 years extensive credit analysis experience within institutional banking, commercial awareness and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with Financial Markets, Debt Markets, Transactional Banking and Working Capital Services products would be beneficial.
