Interactive Data's Real Time Services Group, located in WHITE PLAINS, NY is seeking an enthusiastic, senior level Software Engineer to join our bright and talented team.

The Senior Software Engineer is primarily responsible for C++ application development on our CSP product. This role provides technical leadership to other members of the development team, including project and product managers, developers, quality assurance, and management. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements for software applications by working with technical and product managers, designing software applications, developing and unit testing the applications. Additional responsibilities include creating test plans and test tools by working w/QA Engineers; supporting testing and online bug reports/issues; interfacing with client prospects during beta trial phase of the products; and documenting applications in technical white paper, user’s guide and operations guide.

The Senior Software Engineer also identifies priorities and plan technical tasks and is expected to provide accurate and reliable estimates for project tasks. The SSE must be comfortable doing hands-on development, customization and integration work, and also providing guidance on test case scenarios.

Ability to scope and package technical work for others. Must be comfortable (and enjoy) mentoring junior team members and looking forward to the responsibility of leading key projects.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have:

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Strong Core C++ programming on UNIX platform
• (IPC-FIFO’s Shared Memory, Semaphores, Signals, Mutex, pthreads, etc)
• Strong Development and Design/Architecture skills
• 5 + yrs of object oriented development; unit testing and regression testing; version control practices.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and engineering best practices
• Leadership abilities
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to a broad audience
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously
• Detail and process oriented
• Excellent communication skills
