Leading Financial Services Organisation, Inner Melbourne Location, Year end contract role
A well known national financial services company with more than $680 million in revenue needs a strong statutory accountant to help with yearend reporting.
As an integral part of ensuring the company achieves it corporate targets. You will be reporting to the manager of statutory reporting and control.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
assisting in producing statutory financial statements
liaising with auditors and senior management to clarify balances
maintaining Group Finance Policies and Procedures
transferring the finalised trial balance of business areas into year end audit software
producing the audited consolidated financial statements
You must hold a CA/CPA/ACCA qualification and have a solid understanding and working knowledge of IFRS. Exposure to statutory reporting and financial accounting in the financial service sector will be highly regarded. Strong excel skills, an eye for detail and experience in stakeholder management are key for success in this role.
