Due to internal restructuring they are now inviting prospective finance executives with life insurance accounting experience for the post of Financial Controller, for their Hong Kong office. Our client is highly respected in the market and is a global leader

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and matrix reporting to the oversees Financial Controller in head office, your main mandate will be to lead and develop and large team of accounting professionals within the finance function.

You will lead management reporting and projects, financial reporting with respect to USGAAP, HKGAAP and IFRS, development of financial control processes and the development of processes and the finance team as a whole. You will lead a team of around 15 accounting professionals and be responsible for their development and

You will be involved in the integration of a new accounting system and general ledger. You will also be responsible for leading various projects to improve the automation of accounting and reporting procedures which will be compliant with head office regulations.

You should be a qualified Accountant with an impressive financial career history preferably within Life Insurance or other global financial institutions. Your in-depth knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements will be fundamental to the success of this role including your ability to manage a large team of accounting professionals.
