Europe’s leading credit card company is looking to recruit a Senior Operational Risk Manager to be based in Northampton.
The role: •
Work with the business to deliver a proactive and challenging operational risk management service. By acting as a business partner, ensure that required risk, governance and control process is embedded and operating in all business activities and play a lead role in establishing a secure foundation on which the business can grow. Monitor the prevailing risk profile and ensure the appropriate management of all risks. • Providing expert direction, guidance, support, oversight and independent challenge to ensure that all material and significant business risks are identified, documented, measured, monitored and mitigated. • Building effective relationships with the senior management team, functional business areas and other Operational Risk experts to develop individual risk profiles and articulate risks in a clear and consistent manner. • Involvement with major change projects to ensure that compliance and regulatory requirements are understood and implemented. • Facilitating risk assessments on complex issues to document the key risk themes and assess the potential impact on different areas of the business. • Assisting, where appropriate, in major business risk events to ensure that the mitigating actions are identified and undertaken by the appropriate business owners.
Experience: •
Operational Risk within a financial services environment.Demonstrated facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Report writing skills
