Our Enterprise Services people need your help to deliver support and engineering for UNIX and Windows Server platforms, database administration, voice and data networks, and data centre operations. You will also undertake matrix line management.

Specifically, we look to you to manage a team of technical staff to provide system support to multiple investment banking divisions. You will also oversee a number of complex projects, ensure all systems remain operational and available, act as a technical co-ordinator and point of escalation, guide the technology teams through periods of organisational change, and assist with budgets and business plans. Finally, you will establish compliance strategy, build strong client relationships, and work with a global team of peers.

A strong communicator and presenter, you know how to manage and negotiate contracts, and have a solid grasp of reporting tools. Project methodology and management skills, leadership abilities, a commitment to change, and a flair for business management and budgetary planning, are also a must.

Preferably degree-qualified, you are familiar with investment banking technologies and practices, and have significant and substantial IT experience, ideally gained in a financial institution or business product support environment.

Seal your success with common sense, a cost focus, motivation, decision-making skills, confidence, the ability to multi-task, and a proactive approach. The willingness to occasionally travel, and flexibility when it comes to hours will give you the competitive edge.
