As a Risk Manager you will:
- Identify and evaluate risks and exposures associated with products, services, technologies, operations, policies and business processes. - Work with business partners on risk-mitigation strategies, and implement appropriate risk-mitigation programs and initiatives. - Ensure that internal controls are properly implemented without compromising client service or regulatory obligations. - Educate IRPS business on risk issues. - Assist with reporting on business risks and presenting findings to the IRPS Risk Council. - Identify and implement improvements to risk-management methodologies and practices. - Monitor the status of risk-mitigation strategies and internal audit activities, and consult with the business to ensure completion. - Participate in preparing and executing IRPS-related SAS70 reports; coordinate with and provide oversight for internal and external auditors.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline. - Minimum of five years of internal control, auditing and/or project-management experience, with at least two years of people-management experience. - Comprehensive understanding of internal control theory and practices; knowledge of regulatory compliance highly desirable. - Industry experience with recordkeeping, mutual funds, operations and/or investment management services preferred. - Strong project- and people-management skills. - Business acumen and flexibility. - Proven decision making ability concerning issues of high complexity. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. - Solid analytical skills and understanding of processes, technology and operational concepts. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
