Proprietary Trading Firm seeks a Sr. Software Engineer for Presentation Services. Will be building a high performing trading system front end. Great opportunity to incorporate leading edge technology into the new development of a Trading System.
Strong developer interested in developing Trading Systems. Previous experience in Trading System Development is helpful. Strong communications skills are a must, because this role will be interacting with Traders, Product Management Team and our Enterprise Architect to understand how to best apply the use of technology. A skilled engineer currently within the financial services arena will thrive in this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of C# and .Net and 3 years of Java technologies or C++.
Experience writing thick-client applications
Strong troubleshooting, decision making and problem solving skills.
Deep understanding of multithreading.
Strong grasp of software design patterns and effective development methodologies.
Ability to communicate effectively and to influence strategy, tactics and perceptions.
Resourceful, independent, self-disciplined, and has positive attitude.
Strong trading or financial software experience, especially real-time systems.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong sense of teamwork with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications:
Experience leading a team of engineers
Strength in planning projects and aligning engineers to tasks and plans
Professional software development experience with WPF and WCF.
