The brokerage has a Category II license under the DIFC and will carry out; trading as a Principal for its won books, or as an agent for HNW clients with a minimum net worth of USD 500k plus.

They will provide asset management and investment advisory services, arrange credit, act in principal as a market maker and most importantly my will be the lead DIFX manager bringing major corporations and venture capital groups from the US and Europe and listing them on the local stock exchanges. They already have in excess of 70+ companies & VC’s who are in the pipeline for listing. The brokerage will expand into a fully fledged investment bank within two years.

My client is seeking a very well grounded and qualified Senior Finance Manager (CFA, ACCA, CIMA) to liaise with the DFSA on all reporting requirements, and who must have a minimum of 5 - 7 + solid years hands on experience in dealing with settlements, reconciliation and reporting of trading activities. You will be a key player in the brokerage and must have outstanding knowledge of either FSA rules or DFSA rules. In order to be successfully selected for shortlist, you must have good prior experience working in one of the following environments: Trading, Investment Banking, Market Making. In addition you will be very well versed with IAS and BASEL II legislation. You will report directly to the CEO, a British gentleman, and cover the entire Middle Eastern operation in addition to expanding your team over time. The firm itself has a wealth of world class clients which you will be required to deal with.

You should be a highly motivated self starter willing to come into the business and implement policies and procedures right from day one. You must be willing to take on a challenge and operate to tight deadlines as required by the needs of the business. This is fast paced exciting environment and you will have demonstrable experience in dealing with the same. You will be able to communicate with all levels of the management and trading team. 100% fluency in English is a prerequisite to selection, and the client would prefer a western educated professional.

Decision making initiative and the ability to build effective and professional relationships with external parties and key members of other departments will be the key to your success in the role.
