1. Job description

You will be a trader of exotic options in a team based in the trading room of ING Belgium.
Fascinated by financial markets, you will follow changes in share prices and various financial parameters: volatility, dividends and key macro-economic figures.
You will focus on profits as you determine the prices of options (barrières, digitales, cliquets, ladders, quantos, etc.) for our sales staff on a competitive basis by maximising earnings in relation to risk.
You will proactively hedge your portfolios on markets.

2. Responsibilities

As a derivatives trader, you will use financial markets to secure competitive prices for our customers.
You will therefore manage a portfolio of exotic options and proactively hedge risks and maximise profits.
You will work closely with our sales staff to facilitate the development of derivative sales.

3. Organisational context

Financial Markets is the access point to financial markets for ING and its customers and is increasingly becoming a global player within the group.
Complementarity between the various ING trading rooms is the aim, without losing sight of local contacts.

Within the ING Group, there is a marked trend towards integration of the different Financial Market centres (London, Amsterdam and Brussels).
In other words, the orientation of ING's different trading rooms is very much developing from a regional to an international focus.

4. Skills and experience

• You have a strong interest in financial markets in general and derivatives and their pricing methods (Black-Scholes, Monte Carlo, volatility models, etc.) in particular.
• Education as an engineer or in a mathematical subject will be an advantage, as will be a degree in econometrics or statistics.
• You have a very good knowledge of English, Dutch and/or French.
