Our client a major international bank with their regional head office in HK, have created a brand new position. This is a fantastic opportunity as they are looking for the successful candidate to set up the Tax function in the Asia region.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Manage all tax matters including tax planning, execution, monitoring & compliance to the Group and its various lines of business with a focus in Asia
• Provide tax consultancy and advice to the Group and its various lines of business on all tax matters including corporate tax and personal income tax to ensure best practice whilst maximizing tax efficient structures
• Coordinate with outside legal and tax professionals in tax planning strategies and compliance matters in various jurisdictions
• Conduct review on tax implication of proposed transaction/ structure on new investment and new product opportunities
• Assist in all ad hoc projects

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline preferred
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or ACCA
• Minimum 8 years relevant working experience in Accounting Firms or Investment Banks
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and attention to details
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly in English, Chinese preferred
