This role is responsible for both actively seeking new sales prospects (hunting) and managing the growth of existing accounts (farming) that growth, production, and profitability targets are met.
Responsibilities
Develop business with new clients – manage entire selling process from first contact with the prospect, pricing, negotiations, development and presentation of formal business proposals, coordination of Back-Office processes, implementation of point-of-sales material and other required documentation, through to signing new contracts and retaining the client on a longer-term basis
Proactively develop training and marketing tools in order to achieve the expected results from the new business launched
Manage existing client relationships according to agreed service standards by providing day-to-day support and resolution of client complaints and problems
Draft, agree and achieve the annual business plan for the client/s
Identify new distribution channels within existing client relationships and leverage these to develop new business / increase client revenue
Personal budgetary responsibility relating to specific clients handled
Monitor the performance of client schemes including sales and marketing methods, results penetration and claims trends analysis
Keep up-to-date with the company’s products and clients and with market trends for creditor insurance : this includes new product opportunities and the development of products that have the potential to meet client opportunities
Co-ordinate activities with internal teams (in particular Risk, Legal, Finance, Operations and Marketing) and support the GM whenever requested for Office Management activity
Education & Experience
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Proven experience in a Commercial role from within the Italian Financial Services Sector, ideally in Consultative Selling from a Consulting Firm
Strong client management and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Good problem-solving skills, good at liason with and coordination of colleagues in other functions
Strong planning and analytical skills
Good at gathering information – ie market data and producing models in order to convince clients to take strategic business decisions
Deadline driven, organised, able to work effectively under pressure

Accepting of the organisational culture and values of an American Company
Good English and fluent Italian
